Beware of Fraudulent Emails

Scammers posing as conference organisers have previously contacted our speakers offering hotel and travel bookings, and requesting credit card details. We do not organise hotels or travel for participants, and we will never ask for payment details by email or phone. The only official ways to pay are via our Registration page or by bank transfer against an official invoice issued from [email protected], payable to “STEMM Global Scientific Society” — CRISTMas is organised by the STEMM Global Scientific Society, a not-for-profit organisation registered in the UK. All official correspondence comes from [email protected]. If you receive a suspicious email, do not reply or click any links — please forward it to [email protected] so we can warn others, and block the sender.

Contributed Oral Presentations

Each contributed talk is allocated 15 minutes, including questions. We recommend preparing a presentation of around 12 minutes, leaving 3 minutes for discussion. Session chairs will keep strictly to schedule out of fairness to all speakers. Invited and keynote speakers will be informed of their allocated time individually.

Presenting your slides. You may either bring your presentation on a USB drive and use the computer provided in the session room, or connect your own laptop. If using the on-site computer, please bring your slides as PowerPoint (.pptx) or PDF. If your presentation includes videos or non-standard fonts, please embed them in the file or bring your own laptop. If connecting your own laptop, please bring any display adapter your machine requires.

Before your session. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of your session to upload your presentation or test your laptop connection, and to introduce yourself to the session chair.

Your session, room and presentation day will be confirmed in the final programme. If you have a strong preference regarding your presentation day, please let us know when you register.

Poster Presentations

We’re excited to showcase your work at the poster sessions of CRISTMas 2026 (SNAIA – POEM – HERMES).

Size and orientation. Poster panels accommodate up to A0 format (841 × 1189 mm), portrait orientation. Smaller posters are also welcome — feel free to design your poster at any size up to A0.

On the day. Poster boards and fixing materials will be provided at the venue. Your poster number and session timing will be published with the final programme; please mount your poster before your session begins and be present at your poster during the session to discuss your work with delegates.

Printing. Please print your poster in advance and bring it with you — there are no printing facilities at the venue.

Design tips:

  • Readability: make sure text and visuals are clear and legible from about 1.5 metres.
  • Content organisation: arrange your content in a logical flow so the audience can easily follow your work.
  • Visuals: use graphs, charts and images to highlight key findings and engage the audience.
  • A QR code linking to your paper, preprint or group website is welcome.

Visa Information

If you require a visa to travel to France, please plan ahead — visa processing times vary significantly depending on your country of residence and nationality, and appointments at some consulates can take several weeks to obtain.

Visa support letters. The Organising Committee issues official visa invitation letters for registered participants. Letters can be issued only after conference registration has been completed and the registration fee has been paid. To request a letter, please email [email protected] with:

  • Your full name and title exactly as they appear in your passport
  • Your affiliation and position
  • The consulate or embassy where you will apply (name and address)
  • Your intended travel dates to and from France
  • Your presentation title and symposium/session, if already confirmed

We strongly encourage participants who need a visa to register and request their letter at the earliest opportunity.
