The symposium focuses on current trends and emerging concepts in nanophotonics, where structuring matter at the nanoscale enables precise control over optical fields and their interaction with electronic and excitonic systems. Particular attention is given to regimes of strong and ultrastrong light–matter coupling, where hybrid states emerge and fundamentally alter optical properties, opening pathways to new physical phenomena and functionalities.
By combining advances in materials science, nanofabrication, and optical design, nanophotonics continues to provide powerful platforms for engineering enhanced and collective interactions between light and matter. This session will bring together contributions spanning both fundamental studies and device-oriented implementations, with an emphasis on hybrid systems, quantum emitters, and tunable nanophotonic architectures.
